Reason # 1 to Retire to Costa Rica - Low Costs

Retire in Costa Rica for Additional Benefits

Since it is becoming obvious to most American and Canadian retirees that they may not be able to afford the lifestyle they are accustomed to as they get older, many are looking to places like Costa Rica, which has become one of the most desirable retirement destinations in the world.

Not only does Costa Rica have one of the highest standards of living in Latin America, it has:
A long-standing and stable democratic government
Near perfect tropical climate year round
Affordable health care
A low violent-crime rate
Many year round physical activities
A progressive and growing infrastructure
Land rich with agricultural fertility
One of the most diverse "macro" ecosystems on the planet
One of the longest life-expectancy rates on the planet at 77 years
One of the highest literacy rates anywhere in the world at 95%
With all things considered, it is no wonder why so many U.S., Canadian and others from a variety of countries are relocating to this Central American paradise. As a result of this trend, Costa Rica is experiencing the early stages of a land boom. The Costa Rica real estate market will absolutely have a long-term sustainable boom because it is based upon new flows of wealth, not just speculation or currency and interest rate manipulation like the U.S. real estate market.

One of the most endearing qualities about Costa Rica that attracts American, Canadian and other retirees from around the world is its local population known as Ticos. These kind, tolerant, friendly and educated people convey that "peaceful, easy feeling" to everyone they meet.

Because of the delightful climate no one never has to worry about a frost and there is always warm sunshine to look forward to, even during the rainy season. Pura Vida!
