EPA Launches “SepticSmart”

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently launched “SepticSmart,” a new program encouraging homeowners to take steps to maintain their home septic systems, preventing costly repairs, inconvenience and pollution to local waterways, which poses risks to public health and the environment. This national program also aims to provide industry practitioners, local governments and community organizations with tools and materials to educate their clients and residents.
